Such a great answer. I just re-read Hawk's & Co. series now I really need to prioritise a revisit to 'the burg' again.
Sorry I could not stand Ham, his h always felt like 2nd choice to me and I felt he strung her along for years before he finally "chose" to settle with her. Not a fan of Hawke either for not only being with Gwen but other women for over a year or so. Frankly I wouldn't bother with either of these men. My opinion of course, but I wouldn't let them string me along like that with all those other women in & out of the picture. Tate on the other hand is one of my all time favourites. And he was a great hero, he went after her and was faithful from the beginning, that's a great hero! I also loved Max. But Ham & Hawke and all their women while both their h's were already in the picture so long. Yeah, not great Hero's ever for me.
I agree with you Kristina. Ham and Hawke are plain horrible, for me they do not deserve women like Gwen or Zara.
I’m rereading At Peace and still think Joe is my favorite. My heart hurts every time when reading about his tortured life and attempts to save Vi from himself.
This is such a beautiful response! When you write about forgiveness it’s always one of the bravest and most trusting and generous things they can do. Taking a person as they are and recognizing the work they are doing in their own way is a beautiful thing. What I love most about your books is how you show us the time, work, trust, and vulnerability involved in turning new love into lasting love. Myyyy favorite.
