Alli I'm super excited to read this book. I bought one of Taylor's books on a whim (Maybe In Another Life) and I loved it so much I immediately bought the other 3 available books and preordered this book. I've been aching for another book since finishing After I Do several months ago

message 9: by Khadijah (new)

Khadijah You did your thing on this book! I loved it!!!!

message 10: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi I loved everything about this book. Evelyn was such a well developed character! And even though I could predict a lot of the twists I didn't even care because I wanted to immediately know how Evelyn was going to handle it. The ending was also perfect. Amazing book!!

message 11: by Alicia (new)

Alicia I absolutely adore everything that you write. This book was no different. Keep up the good work! And maybe put out more than 1 book a year! :)

message 12: by Jack (new)

message 13: by Leanne (new)

Leanne I just started reading your work this year and I am almost through the entire catalog. Seven Husbands was absolute perfection. Thank you for sharing your immense talent with us! :)

message 14: by Lee Ann (new)

Lee Ann Just wanted to say that I'm halfway through listening to the audiobook of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and so far I LOVE it! It's been so long since a story has hooked me from the first page, and I get the feeling I will enjoy it until the very end. So far it's such an insightful, gut- and heart-wrenching, fun, and oftentimes funny book. Also full of diverse, complex characters. Well done!

message 19: by Cari (new)

Cari Just finished this book and it was great! It seemed that the character of Evelyn included characteristics and events from actual old Hollywood actresses. Was that a purposeful decision?

message 28: by Renee (new)

Renee Rochel This book was so electrifying. It had been years since I'd read a book that fast. I could not stop and I loved absolutely every second. I've since obsessed over Daisy Jones and am now enjoying Malibu Rising. I can't get enough! I'm SO excited for your next book, The Book of Cold Cases. Thank you for becoming my favorite author. You just get me.

message 29: by clara (new)

clara owens Thank you for writing. And for Evelyn Hugo and her 7 husbands + 1. They have truly found readers all over the world in a way few books do. Congratulations on the success of this book. When you shared about how you wrote this book while pregnant with Lilah, I can't help but smile at the thought that your daughter Lilah will grow old enough one day to know and read the work you did while preganant with her. Thanks for sharing that little detail with us, it has inspired and warmed me in a strange maternal way I can't yet make sense. Most of all this book reminded me once more how powerful and real fictional characters can feel - to entertain, comfort, acknowledge, guide, and stay with us. That kind of a writing is special. And I'm so glad Goodreads is a thing where I can thank an author from the bottom of my heart, while nursing a book hangover slouched clumsily in a chair. I hope you chance upon this comment some day, and it makes you smile!

message 30: by The Book Guide® (new)

The Book Guide® Carrie Soto is Back should be your next one ;)

message 31: by Anna (new)

Anna i finished reading the book last night. during the last 100-150 i cried three times. some parts really touched me. other than the fact that this book was amazing and very interested, i just want to say that evelyn's relationships with harry, celia and connor made me very emotional. and when i read that part where evelyn says she could fall and harry would catch her it showed what a beautiful friendship they had. and i thought "i want a friendship like theirs, where we could do anything for each other". anyway thank you for writing this book and for writing evelyn, an amazing character, with flaws but who is a woman so powerful and inspiring nonetheless

message 32: by Julie (new)
