I need to amend my answer. The Grey Bastards series has been acquired by Penguin/Random House. While selling the books to a major New York publisher has many benefits, it does mean that the timeline must be pushed back. The Grey Bastards will be released in a new edition in Summer '18. True Bastards will follow within a year. I promise to make it all worth the wait.
I saw this acquisition posted on r/Fantasy recently and was wondering how it would affect the timeline for the sequel. Massively disappointed that I have to wait longer (need it now!), but it sounds like it is great for you as an author, and I'm glad more people will get a chance to dig in to The Grey Bastards. Such a fabulous read. One of the best starts to a series I've read in a while.
Thank you for the support and kind words! Yes, the wait will be longer going this new route (one of the few drawbacks), but I will do my best to make it worthwhile. Expect GB in summer 2018 and sequel within a year after

OMG I can't wait. Honestly. I keep looking at my hard copies of Grey Bastards and True Bastards longingly and keep checking the interwebs for info on the third book.
