Lisa and Marianne, as a mother with a teenager who also is recovering from concussion (also TBI) this would be another interesting avenue to explore! I loved Left Neglected however, it was specific to hemispatial neglect. I found that in the year following our third concussion, personality changes and abilities to complete highschool overwhelmingly changed the family perspective on living "out of the box". Marianne, I hope that you are on a positive road with your TBI and successful future!
My daughter had a severe TBI when she was 3 and I had a "mild" TBI. When I read Left Neglected I had no idea what it was about. Loved the story and details. I have all the books!
Hi Lisa... I have written about my TBI for the insurance claim, but only in dutch. Although I grew up in New York, my family moved to Germany when I was 18, and I moved to Holland. i live in Rotterdam now. I have been urged to write about my experiences, but have only been giving talks. Maybe I should give it a try!
