I guess I view the book series as a Lady's Fantasy World, where you can have a man-harem and they won't complain about you being their only bang. It hurts my romantic heart to have to share the dudes. In the real world, I suppose it's realistic to share the dudes or they would revolt. The only way I can relate to it, is if I had a husband, but also old boyfriends on retainer, and he had a few ex's on retainer as well. As long as our heroine (and me vicariously) doesn't go to bed alone whilest her men are banging others, I'll be selfishly, possessively, uncomfortably ok with it.
