Since it’s been such a long time since I’ve read this, I don’t have many thoughts and feelings to offer, but I do remember it was a rather “meh” read for me, too.

I don’t think that I ever saw the original adaptation, although I did read the book at least twenty years ago. I’ve seen the most recent Invisible Man. Overall, it’s a very different story, but I love how it conveyed the reality of what many domestic violence survivors face (with not being believed and gaslighting) and how well it conveyed the trauma of the experience. I thought that ending was fantastic!
