I'm reading some of the Grimm's Fairy Tales to my son from The Oxford World's Classics Edition, which takes it's stories from the 7th Edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales from 1857. We read "Bearskin" last night, which is a strange one. A man enters a deal with the devil and has to wear a bearskin for 7 years and also is not allowed to wash himself. The man ends up so dirty that you you can plant grass on his face and it will grow! Maybe this inspired the invention of the Chia Pet?
