My hair is shiny, my cheeks are rosy, my skin is silky smooth
They poked and prodded and had their way and I can barely move
The pedestal I sit upon has been lowered to the ground
There's no way out of the bed I made and now i’ve almost drowned
Drowned in their misery, choked by their sorrows, gone till tomorrow
Im beyond recognition, I'm a mystery to me
I miss the girl I was, before they got to me

Hi! Im new on here so im not sure if I did this right...
Anyways I don't share my poetry often but everyone here seems so kind so I guess I will give it a go!

"Bittersweet"
All my loves are paper
All my desires are sweet
Every wish is stupid
Every tears a treat
Every laughs a meal
I feast till I cant breath
All my loves are paper
My real ones, bittersweet



"Wishes"
Most people despise reading, but I love it

Reading is like feeding a fire wood, it burns still, steady and strong
And when you can’t get enough the fire chokes and dies until you pick up another book is when it flames alive

It fills your head with understanding of the world

Of life, of death

But in the end you know it's true you’ll never live the life you read

You’ll never fall in love with the enemy
Or dance the waltz with the crown prince
In a gown of butterfly’s
Or ears with elven points

You’ll never fly to Neverland with Peter,
Or walk the trails of the forest with Little Red
You’ll never swim in the sea with the Little Mermaid
Or brush the hair of Rapunzel before bed

You don’t live a fairy tail, as much as you wish
So instead you dream, a magical wish

But alas you know it's only for show, the paperback book that you wish you could know
