I’ve just finished two books in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. Loved both! Genuinely funny without sacrificing story or character development. I’ve been meaning to get into this series since my bookstore days on the 80s, but am only getting to them now. All things in their time, I guess. :)

I can’t wait to see what they do with the mini series! It was a gigantic book but had so much emotion, tension, complexity.

Another great recommendation, Eileen! I’ve been wondering about Miller’s books on Achilles and Circe. Hoping they’re worth reading. Circe was just a Daily Deal at Audible so I picked it up.

Finally, saw the movie of Silver Linings Playbook. They did a great job with it. Both Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper were terrific.

Did anyone see that the BBC has a Les Miserables mini-series ready for broadcast in the US? I’m so psyched! It looks like it’s going to be awesome!!!!!

I’ve also been working my way through A Series of Unfortunate Events this month. They’re not “magic” Fantasy books, but rather, ride with fantastical events. Very dark humor. I’m enjoying them very much.
