121177 I'm currently reading The Alexandria Link by Steve Berry. Or actually rereading. I read it the first time long enough ago that I am finding it interesting and have not figured it all out yet.
Next up is Triptych by Karin Slaughter.

121177 What about the villains? I've put A Whole New World on my list to read, and maybe later I'll give Ursula a try. They both look interesting.
I have to confess I am procrastinating starting Mansfield Park, I can't face Austen quite yet. Probably in June.

121177 So far this month, I have read Prequel by Rachel Maddow and The President's Daughter by Patterson and Clinton (audiobook), and am going to read either The Ides of April by Lindsey Davis or Triptych by Karin Slaughter. And then maybe something completely different.

121177 I am currently reading 4 books (or reading 2 with 2 more on the back burner): All Adults Here by Emma Straub (online book club book for November), Loyalty in Death (for when I have no attention span- good books- easy to read), The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny (good book, I just have no attention span), and What Happened (interesting book- taking my time). Fortunately, I have already read books for both December's book clubs.

121177 I have finished reading Murder at a Cape Bookstore by Maddie Day and listening to The Gift of the Magpie by Donna Andrews. This month's book club books are A Test of Wills by Charles Todd and All Adults Here by Emma Straub. I am also Reading What Happened by Hillary Rodham Clinton and still working on The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny. And then there is the stack of library books in my living room.

121177 I finished reading The Girl Who Knew too Much by Amanda Quick, am currently reading Payback in Death by J.D. Robb, and then I will start The Victory Garden by Rhys Bowen, and finish Cleat Cute by Meryl Wilsner (the fact that this is last on the list is in no way a criticism of the book- just that I love the In Death series, and that I need to finish The Victory Garden this month).
I have to go to VA Bch for an oil change and trip check on my Escape (before I escape again into the mountains), so I think I'll go and get a library card.
Yay.

I got a chance to watch Red, White, and Blue while I was on vacation, and had the added benefit of making my brother watch the second half of it. It was very amusing. The movie was fun, too.

121177 I finished The Mitford Scandal and reread Naked in Death by J. D. Robb (I was out sick Tuesday and felt the need of a comfort read.).
I'm off for a week, and am stocking up with books to read, and listen do in the car. It should be fun.

121177 I am currently reading Death at the Crystal Palace by Jennifer Ashley, next up is Triptych by Karin Slaughter (the first Will Trent- so I can then binge the tv show). And after that The Mitford Scandal by Jessica Fellowes, and the ever growing collection of graphic novels I have checked out from the library.

Hope everyone has a great week. :)

121177 I read Red, White, and Royal Blue a while ago, and would love to see the movie. I still rewatch LOTR, The Hobbit, and HP (not so much Fantastic Beasts- except the first one). I want to watch Trent, but would like to read at least part of the series first. Although the few times I've stopped to watch bits as I channel surfed looked interesting.

121177 I am currently reading City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong for book club (which is Monday- not sure I'll finish on time). And then I will finish Death at the Crystal Palace by Jennifer Ashley. I also have an assortment of graphic novels for the online book club: Kindred, Rivers of London (Body Work), and Enola Holmes (The Case of the Missing Marquess). Then back to cozies for a bit.

Have a great weekend.

121177 For the most part, I have no problem leaving a book not finished. Usually, I just start reading something else if I'm reading a book that has lost my interest. One notable exception was Emma, which I was reading for the online book club. It took me 6 weeks to finish (and totally messed up my reading goal for last year), but I was bound and determined to finish it. To be honest, towards the end it did get better, but still- 6 weeks.

I've just finished reading Around the World in Eighty Days (which I enjoyed reading). Next up is Murder in the East End by Jennifer Ashley, and then City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong (mystery book club's selection for August).

This weekend should be fun.
