Interesting Penmouse. I guess it shall remain a mystery, but I now very much feel that Net Galley reviews should be as valued and not have to wait.

How many people do you actually think are writing for them? Since they have to pick you, I would think it would be a very small sampling of readers compared to Net Galley.

I went to post a review on Amazon, but found the book wasn't published yet, BUT there were already several reviews posted under Amazon Vine. When I checked their site, it says that Amazon picks you and you review the book for free just like Net Galley. Why the competition with Net Galley? I just try to write the best review of my feelings of a book no matter who I am writing for.

I agree. I even have all my author friends, when I say I wrote a review, ask if I posted it on Amazon. Reviews are great for them there, but do you think we are recognized there? I would love to eventually turn this hobby and love into an actual paid job and that was another reason I was asking.

Some of us use Net Galley and then post our reviews on Goodreads, Facebook and Amazon. There are some here who also post on their own blogs and/or websites. Is there a favorite location for bookish traffic, Tumblr, WordPress, BlogSpot, a personal website? Where do you think you get the most views and traffic for your reviews?

Why do the star systems on Amazon and Goodreads mean different things? I have adjusted my total of stars a couple of times now. Do you all adjust or just leave it the same number on both? Curious???
