I recommend The Fire Sermon by Francesca Haig--it's a trilogy but only the first book is out yet.

OMG, Brandy, start reading now. They're really well written, the characters are three dimensional, there are a lot of themes about slavery, morality, the needs of the many versus the needs of the few. It's probably my favorite series out of all I've read from YA (and I've read probably........everything.) :)

I mean Marcus has a special place in my heart. There were so many times when I bust out laughing at something he said. But come on, no contest. Samm is too thoughtful and believes in Kira.

I LITERALLY am running around in circles in my cubicle screaming SAMM SAMM SAMM SAMM. Literally.

I like a book with a strong female lead, in a post apocalyptic world... :)
