The Beggar King. 3rd book in the Hangman's Daughter series. Good historical mystery!

I'm reading The Book Thief. It is interesting, but rather slow and depressing. I've decided to finish it as an audio book in the car so I can start a different book. So, now I'm reading The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I've read the other two in the series and enjoyed them.
