I've just started Elizabeth is Missing, whose protagonist, Maud, has dementia. I've heard wonderful things about it, and I enjoy unusual narrative voices, plus I spent five years caring for people with dementia, so I'm really excited to get into it!

I've started with The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, which I'm putting in the category of "a book that everyone is talking about right now", because I've seen SO many good reviews of it on booktube! Am enjoying it so far, it's SO different to anything I've read before, the ideas it explores are very interesting! :)

Hi, I'm Maria. I'm from Norfolk, England, and I failed miserably at the 2015 reading challenge! So here I am, planning to have another go in 2016- I doubt I'll read one book each week, mostly because I'm a slow reader and am easily distracted by my children or my business, but I'm hoping that trying to read more will help me with my mindfulness (my brain can be a bit "all over the place" at times), and having reading goals will perhaps help me to leave work behind in the evenings. I have SO SO many books I want to read this year, and I'm really looking forward to getting started! Good luck everyone :)
