I'm curious about the notion of "white collar psychopaths." These are people who don't commit murders, but leave a wake of destruction everywhere they go. They're generally people we celebrate, until they fall from grace. Then we start viewing them as if they were a touch shy of being serial killers.
In fact, studies have shown that most of them share at least 8 of 11 personality traits that are common among violent psychopaths.

I like to say I get inside people's heads and write about what I find there. I also write to get to know myself better. Don't get me wrong, I don't psychoanalyze everyone I talk with. Instead, I try to get to know them, who they are and how them make the choices they wind up living with. In the end, I hope I'm not judgmental - just perceptive - telling their stories.

You'd call this narrative nonfiction. It's scholarly, but reads like a story. This is where I learned that I didn't know much about Abraham Lincoln.

I'm author, DL Fowler. I write suspenseful fiction that hopes to reach your soul. Writing is a way of communicating, but it's a one way street. I look forward to having lot's of give and take in this forum.
