51550 I can see why it is your all time fav Jamie. I love LK as well and the love story of Annabelle and Simon is very special indeed.

Among her wallflower series for some reason my fav is Evie and Gabriel's unexpected love match followed by Lilian and Marcus.
51550 What a great idea Jamie. Everyone has that one special book that you go back to time and time again. Its like going back in time and repeating your first time. And the wonderous thing is each time you discover something new about the story, the characters and plot. You laugh at the right parts and then shed a few tears at the sad parts remembering how much you cried the last time you read this same page.

My 'first' romance novel that got me hooked on this genre is 'Lions and Lace' by this wonderful author called Meagen Mckinny published in 1992. I found it in my library and just picked it up. I remember reading it all in one day staying up late at night to get to the finish.

Its a classic love story set in 1800's of a New York heiress and how she is forced to wed an Irish self made millionare. As she is a knickerbocker/old blood and he is common stock their marriage shocks everyone and she is shunned by all her friends. She has no family as her parents died in a fire and her evil uncle is her guardian. Her husband is this cold ruthless man with deep green eyes who loathes her high status. Yet despite all their prejudices they fall in love and reveal deep secrets to each other that make them human.

I have stopped count over how many times I have read that book :) It's a classic.

51550 Hi ladies,

I am going to start this thread exchanging a brief intro so that we get to know each other.

My name is Arzoo. I am originally from Pakistan but have lived in US, UK and Switzerland. I currently live in Geneva and I am a hard core romance fan :) I read my first romance book at 12 that borrowed from my school's library. And I know I had found my addiction.

I have a huge stack of romance books in my room, arranged by author that I love maintaining and keep it growing. Its my prized possession. Best way to relax, escape and wind down.
