Ren is driving along a dusty, red-dirt road in an area that used to have thick farmland, full of animals, now it is dry. Every once in a while she passes by an abandoned farm house. Most are barely standing now, but she sees one that looks to be in relatively good condition. She pulls over to the side of the road, checks her weapons - the pistols strapped to her thighs, her shotgun and her katana. She slings an extra belt of ammo around her waist and clips it in place.
Out of pure habit from the old days, she locks the Jeep and tucks the keys in her pocket. She pulls out her sword and approaches the house cautiously, with an eerie feeling rolling along her spine. She nearly jumps out of her skin when the screen door creaks on its one remaining hinge then laughs, a quiet gasping sound as she tries to calm her heart rate.

Name: Karen "Ren" Watanabe
Age: 20
Appearance: Long, wavy, light brown hair. Soft brown eyes. Tall, thin and wiry with the kind of muscles that come from doing martial arts. Not too muscular, but fit and strong.
Weapon: Katana, shotgun, 2 pistols, hunting knife, explosives if she can find/make them.
Vehicle: An old, revamped, dark green Jeep.
Crush: To be determined. Maybe.
Personality: May or may not end up with a crush, she doesn't want to risk bringing a child into the world or end up with too many attachments. People die to easily. Otherwise, personality to be determined.
Outfit/Costume: Usually seen wearing a white tank top, a military jacket, camouflage army pants, and black military combat boots - all stolen from her brother after he died, same with the guns and hunting knife and most of her other supplies. Her Katana she got as a gift from her Japanese great grandfather.

6.There will be a VERY sparse population, you will not run into a lot of people, except for other characters in the game and the occasional NPC - played by yours truly or another moderator.
7. Looting is totally acceptable, and you should be able to find most things that you want, although there are no guarantees that they will work.
8. Game-wide events that effect most or all characters will be made up by myself or other moderators.
9. Please include your character's name in every post for them that you put up, so that we know who is who.
10. You may have up to 5 characters. Unless you are a moderator, in which case you get as many characters as you want. If a character of yours dies, you may make another to replace them.
11. Please try to write believable and realistic posts. Complicated is good too, since I would like this to be an interesting and well developed story.

Does anyone have any votes as to what caused the apocalypse? We can stick with the traditional stereotypes: plague, nuclear war, etc... or we can try to come up with something new. Please post your ideas here!

Does anyone have any votes for where our game should be set? We can probably choose multiple locations if we end up with enough people.

It is the end of days, which for many is only the beginning... In a universe where society has gone to hell, but the earth abides, lone survivors of the apocalypse slowly begin to band together or wander alone through the desolate wastelands of decaying cities and along bone strewn paths. Some cling to ancient aspects of our lost societies, others create their own and begin to make a new world in which they and their children can survive. This is where our story begins...

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the End of Days Role Playing group. I will have the introductory moments to the story updated soon, but until then you all can start creating characters, discussing books, or chatting and getting to know others in the Out-Of-Game chat.

1. If you violate any of the following rules, you will receive two warnings, and then be kicked out for a while on the third infraction. (Time to be determined)
2. Please keep cussing to a minimum and try not to be too offensive. If you are cussing at another player, it must be between your characters and in story only.
3. Do not be abusive, or insulting about people's personal characteristics. (i.e. no racism, religious persecution, etc...) Respect each other, we're all here to have fun.
4. I reserve the right to update and change these rules at any time. :D
