Two books that for sure moved me and that I totally found by accident/almost didn't read cause they seemed so nondescript are Cath Crowley's Graffiti Moon and The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. Both of them are so simple, yet so moving, and real, and immediate that I truly adore them,
