Aravel's mind changed tracks. "Lucifer, Lucifer! The dinghy's gone out to hunt some deer!"

Aravel giggled. "You have much humor, Mortal one!"

Aravel smiled. She turned to a nearby wall, and kicked it down. "Una ventana de emergencia!" she cried out joyfully.

Aravel smiled wryly. "What about una ventana de emergencia?"

Aravel wanted to see some clouds. "Do you have a window?"

Aravel edged toward the portal. Maybe if she ran fast enough, the wind would blow away the stink of the half-breed's disgusting blood off of her feathers.

Aravel was a little unnerved with Dante's steady gaze.

Aravel heard the click of metal on metal. And looked up with disdainful caution.

The stink roared up in Aravel's nose. "Ugh! Bloody Jezebel, you stink!"

Aravel heard a passing thought from Dante. "Find out what?" she growled in disgust.

"half-breeds!" Aravel spit out. "Disgusting creatures."

"Ugh!" Aravel dry-gagged. "Jericho's Wall, that is dirty!"

Aravel gagged at the smell of the hybrid's dried blood in the air. "Blargh!"

"But everyone else agrees that the worst smell in the world is demon's vomit! Well, then again, demon's vomit is second only to demon's diarrhea, but that's something different...)

Aravel wrinkled her nose again. "Never thought I'd ever smell anything worse than demon's vomit."

Aravel leaned down and sniffed. "Golden dysentery."

"Excellent!" Aravel grabbed Dante's wrist and went down the river, trying to keep the scalpel in line as she pressed. Blood started welling up.

"Why don't we find out?" Aravel grabbed a nearby scalpel and strode toward Dante.

"Wonder what
your blood smells like." Aravel turned fully to Dante.
