75282 Hey guys, we're on the hunt for honest reviews. If anyone is interested in providing them, I will supply you with a free Kindle copy of Time Loopers, where Lovecraft meets Time Travel. Only five copies to give out, so PM me asap!

75282 I'd want a time machine, and I'll tell you why. Stocks. With a time machine I could save up tons of money by playing the market, but not just for today, but so that I could speed ahead to the future and use the money to see if a spaceship would even be necessary. At least with a time machine I know that we have a past to go to, but with a spaceship there might be no one in the universe to visit...and what if they don't communicate the way I do? It'd be horribly uncomfortable trying to send my thoughts into a mass of jelly just to discover that the real alien was the lump of rock right next to it.
As for read vs write: Probably read, although reading always encourages me to write. I like falling away. Tv vs movies? Tv. Shorter bursts, longer stories. Always a dog. Charades...with a jelly and rock alien species.

75282 Neanderthals were the surviving branch of the evolutionary line (This is already a book series called "Hominids" about a scientist Neanderthal from that other universe reaching over to ours). But then I wouldn't exist...so I don't like that one...

Oh! I know! I'd want for all of our timeline of technological advances to be about 300 years furthered. In 1700 we were driving cars and flying planes. Then we could get a window into where our tech would be in 300 years from now.

Or! As a story, no disease in that other world, at all. When we get there we discover that microorganisms simply don't thrive well in the human body. But ours have had years of learning to kick butt, so we show up and everyone just starts getting sick and dying. Oh no! Now we must invent anti-biotics (sliders episode...)

75282 Another one that's tried and overly used: Do I have anything that makes me different from humans? I was raised by them, so I assume I look human, but am I Clark Kent/Number 4/My Favorite Martian? In which scenario, I have abilities that make me more than human and possibly able to defend myself. I think that would make a big statement too. If I'm Superman, for example, I could look at humanity and offer to defend them in exchange for not treating me like a bartering chip/lab rat. Or I could decide that my people are probably all super strong too and that Earth has no flipping chance. Then I'd jump ship. Find a nice tropical planet where the coconuts are all fermented.

75282 I love this conversation. Nurture vs. Nature, sci-fi style!
The problem is so much deeper, though. Why did my people come to collect me? Does Earth know that they came to collect me? Does Earth know what I am? I wouldn't get much say either way, because Earth would probably try to use me as a bargaining chip. Or if I know why they came to collect me than it might become a matter of such great magnitude that I decide to join with my people just to (save the universe, perpetuate an almost extinct species, laugh at the best comedian in the universe).
75282 New Review for Trials of Obed Marsh. 5 Stars:
"Amazing. The book focus on the root of the events in Lovecraft's "Shadow Over Innsmouth", how evil slowly corrupted Captain Marsh and how the Deep Ones came to town. Loved the writing style and the narrative device of old journals. One of the best lovecraftian books of late."
75282 H. P. Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth introduced us to a corrupt and fallen town, owned and controlled by the dark Esoteric Order of Dagon.
But how did Innsmouth fall so far from the healthy New England town that it had been? What could possibly convince an entire port town to abandon their beliefs and morality for the darker path of the Necronomicon?
The answer was found in the lost journals of Obed Marsh.
This is the tale of how a man, devout in his Catholic beliefs, could be corrupted and torn from grace. This is the explanation of how he took all of Innsmouth with him.
This is the fall of Innsmouth.
This is The Trials of Obed Marsh.

75282 Random Stranger has done his best to forget the Grimm Fairy Tale book that he filled with all of his power and had done a pretty good job of it when it gets thrust back into his life. The Random Tome has started causing insanity in Abstracts and has even shut down the Library, the only Abstract destination, and the means through which Abstracts travel across the world. Now, with his girlfriend Karma and the black-mailer Mr. Know It All, Randy is on a mission to get the Random Tome back and drain it of its power before...well...anything happens. Hot on his tail are the most powerful Abstracts that have ever lived, mistakenly thinking that Randy is the source of all the turmoil. The clock is ticking and things are spinning out of control; just how Randy likes it.
