Hello. My name is Ali. I read the classics with teenagers and their parents in a literature club I formed ten years ago. We're reading books from the Medieval times this year. Sometimes we choose the books because the author was writing in the time period we are reading and other times we choose a book set in the time period we are reading. We're kind of loose that way. In March we will discuss The Scarlet Letter and eat a "sinfully delicious" meal. We try to connect our meals to the book. Your group caught my attention because the title and description sounded like the same atmosphere we try to create in our literature clubs — relaxed and non schoolish. The kids prepare a project for each book and even though a lot of thought goes into the preparation at home, the actual presentations are a blast! The projects along with the meal and lots of hanging out time cause them and their mothers to come back month after month. We don't love every book we read but we love reading the books together.

Any of the stories about Sherlock Holmes will interest me. He's one of my favorite characters. I am new here. Where will the book choice for March be posted?
