#10 My sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult

BJ -
I agree with you, perfect amount of history inside of a fictional tale!

I really liked the Secret Life of Bees, almost as much as The Mermaid Chair. Both well written and had a great storyline that flowed well and easily kept me wanting to rush back to read some more. What I really liked about both books is that you easily "fell in love" with the characters and wanted to know what was going to happen to them next (even after you finish the book), unlike some books that you read and don't care much about during or after reading.

Yup, I'm trying to get 50 books by the end of this year since I started at the beginning of July. Nothing too complicated since this is my first attempt at a book challenge other than just reading random books and not keeping track of it or discussing it with anyone.

#8 The Secret Life of Bees - Sue Monk Kidd

#6 How to start a Home-Based pet care business - K. Salzberg
#7 Pet sitting for profit P. Moran
Again, these aren't novels but I would definitely recommend these books to anybody who is an aspiring pet sitter like myself.

#4 Possible Side Effects - Augusten Burroughs
#5 Start Your Own Pet Sitting Business - Cheryl Kimball (ok not a novel, but a good informative book nonetheless)

#3 Le Divorce - Diane Johnson

Finished # 2 A Beautiful Place to Die - Phillip Craig.

My first book currently reading.
Joy of Funerals - Alix Strauss

Since it's already the beginning of the 7th month of 2008, I'm going to shoot for 50 books by the end of this year.
