Ahahah definitely! Spell Bound was really good. If you like grumpy x sunshine you'll enjoy this one!

Definitely! It's a very fluffy and cute book! If you liked Simon Vs you'll really enjoy this!

-Imogen was such a cinnamon roll character. She was an over thinker, a Scorpio and the ultimate ally 🙌
-There were prominent discussions about queer discourse specifically “what makes a person queer?” “What does a queer person look like?” “What if I’m queer baiting?” “Am I actually queer or am I just influenced by the people around me?” and these themes were very predominant in the book as well as topics surrounding gatekeeping, queer validation and creating safe spaces and what those look like.
-This book also showed different types of friendships and what true ally ship looks like. Gretchen was a very passionate member of the LGBTQ+ community yet her treatment of Imogen when she was questioning her sexuality was inconsiderate even if she thought she had good intentions.
-The cameos from Love Victor and Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda 💖
-The depictions of college/uni life were so accurate and I loved reading about Imogen’s uni friends 🥰
THINGS THAT COULD’VE BEEN IMPROVED
-Nothing really but it took me a while to get into Imogen’s character and feel that chemistry between her and Tessa. It definitely took more of a build up than with Simon vs (which is one of my favourite books of all time 😍)

It's that time of year again of our annual Pride Month Reading Challenge! This month is slightly different from the previous challenges we hosted as this time it's going to be an A-Z Challenge.
What does that entail you ask? It's very simple: read a book that features one of the 26 letters of the alphabet in the title. The book doesn't need to start with the chosen letter, it just needs to contain it. For example, for the letter "R" you might read "The Extraordinaries" or for the letter "O" you might read "Imogen, Obviously".
It should look something like this as an example:
A- Always the Almost
B- May the Best Man Win
C-Radio Silence
D-
E-
And so on and so forth until you get to Z. You don't need to start with A, you can start with whatever letter you like.
The only catches are that you can't use more than one letter for a book and all books for this challenge must be categorised as LGBTQ+ to count. Books don't need to be YA but reading YA is strongly encouraged. Only books finished in June 2023 count. There will be no points for this challenge.

-I loved how this book featured the frenemies to lovers and the grumpy/sunshine trope. These tropes were so well executed and I loved the dynamic between Rook and Sun
-The subtle pining between the two main characters (!!!) This book had me at the small smiles, the subtle hints and the hand holding
-Antonia Hex was the coolest anti-hero. She was mischievous and a rebel.
-The book was set in a queer-normative world and we had a lot of rep and diversity.
-There was a focus on belonging and acceptance and what it means to be loved. There were also discussions about gatekeeping in communities and who gets to dictate who can fit in and not.
-The slow burn romance! This book set things up slowly and the chemistry was palpable on the page.
THINGS THAT COULD’VE BEEN IMPROVED
-(not necessarily a bad thing) but the book was slightly more skewed to younger YA readers. That being said, I still really enjoyed the book and found it playful and fun
