Frankie and Benny were the shit!
I totally enjoyed this re-read!
Frankie had me crying at least 3 thousand times while reading this book.
Her parents were... I don't know. I can't even imagine, but Frankie took shit from them for years...until she didn't have to, thanks to Benito Bianchi.
Benny was a different kind of kick-ass, uber-alpha-male.
Sweet, serious, focused, calm, and kept his eyes on the prize "minute by minute".

July 2017: Another re-read after a re-read of At Peace. Love Frankie & Benny.

Re-read March 2016: I love Benny and Frankie. Re-reading their story made me fall even harder for them. I remembered things I loved about them and was introduced to other things I missed or totally forgot. Their is total KA fantastical goodness.

I was surprised to see that this book received a lukewarm reception....I loved it, I think KA has the patois and the cadence of her characters down pat and I loved the slow development of Benny & Frankie's romance. So many people complain about insta–love, here's pages of small treasures that brought them together, in spite of Benny's past treatment of Frankie and her own lack of confidence. Classica KA. Loved it. No need to say more. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was sort of anticlimactic, especially for a KA book that wasn't edited within an inch of it's life. But, I still loved the sweet love between Benny and Frankie. And really funny in parts too. ...more

This was just f**** sexy.

Benny and Frankie, you finally kind of get a little deeper into Joe's world, and this one was loaded with a lot more sexual tension from the get-go because you already know the heated history between Frankie and Benny, what they're up against, trying to put int heir past, and how desperately they feel for each other.

Benny's almost too much for Frankie to handle, and Frankie is Benny's greatest weakness. That's just how these two are for each other. They came into each o ...more

Benny and Frankie´s story (finally!! =))
Their families share history, guilt filled history, but being shot changes everything. Now Benny´s decided that enough is enough, and the time has come to let Frankie know they´re good together.
Life and career puts a wrench in those plans, though, and when one thing gets clear, another gets scrambled.
Smutty fluff, alpha males and awesomeness in a great Kristen Ashley combo.
