This second chance romance is a fabulous start to Lauren Blakely's new Sinful Nights series! She captured me with this sweet, sexy, and emotional story from the very first page and never let go. She created 2 very passionate characters from 2 very different worlds who couldn't get enough of each other. When youth, ambition, and pride get in the way they break apart and go their separate ways. Then when life brings them back together 10 years later, they can't deny their love that never died. Shannon Paige-Prince has suffered several heartbreaking events in her life and has built walls to protect herself. She does not want to risk the devastation she endured the last time she lost Brent. But Brent has always been her light in a world that has brought her so much darkness and she needed him to fill the sad places inside her with his light. Brent is sexy, funny, caring and tender but also exquisitely commanding. Shannon is strong, intelligent, kind and loves to give as much as she gets. Together with their fiery passion and combustible chemistry they begin the exploration of who they are now, but is it enough? I love that both Brent and Shannon are not angsty but more mature and approach their opinions and actions accordingly. They are honest and genuine and I found them to be charming, fun and very believable. I fell in love with all of Shannon's family and look forward to reading more about her intriguing brothers. The other secondary characters were wonderful as well and add so much depth along with a bit of mystery and suspense to this story. This is a 4 book series that follows different couples but also a longer story line that has me hooked already. I can't wait for book #2!

Yet another amazing book by Lauren Blakely. Sweet Sinful Nights was sexy, passionate, intense, and even sometimes heartbreaking. This is all around an amazing second chance love story. I seriously could not put this book down once I started.

Brent Nichols and Shannon Paige were engaged and deeply in love when they were in college. She would've done anything for him, but the moment he picked his career over her that all changed. They ended with an ultimatum and lost contact for 10 years.

Can they resist the temptation, and continue where they left off?
Drama, angst and smutty fluff in a quick read that had me exclaiming Drama more than once. 3,5 Stars. Great narrator on the audio (Josh Goodman)
