So many things I liked about this story.
I LOVED that Vivian was a librarian and loved her job.
Even though she was under paid, had no budget, and provided healthy snacks for the students out of her own pocket, she loved her job and her students.
Vivian was one smart girl. She refused to be a "lucky charm". She demanded more, and wouldn't settle for less...even though it broke her heart.
Oh, Dash... you were perfectly- imperfect.
Such a dirty-talking, charming, ridgely routine keeping fool... until ...more

I was looking forward to this book and had super high expectations about it. I love sports books and this one was about a hot baseball player.
Vivian Foster is a librarian at an LA public school where most of her kids are underprivileged. She’s super dedicated to her school and her kids. Her other passion is baseball. At a school outing, she meets sexy baseball player Dash Wallace. Dash Wallace is extremely focused on his career. His also super alpha and hot, but there’s a lot more to h ...more

Another enjoyable book from C.D. Reiss, this one centered around a hot baseball short stop and his unexpected find, a gem of a librarian. Dash and Viv are characters that grow on you. I was glad that Viv didn't easily just capitulate to Dash when he comes back, forcing him to make her matter. And I was so happy to see that Dash gave a shit about Viv more than he cared about his career. Watching characters grow together is the fun part of reading and CD Reiss delivers: you get a book with a wonde

Man oh man! What a great read! Truly another great book from CD Reiss. I get sucked into her worlds and I don't want her books to let me go. It's sweet, sad, fun, sexy and downright delicious. Dash and Vivian are pretty opposite, but you know what they say, opposites attract! She's a librarian, bookworm and a romantic. Dash is a pro baseball player with swagger. She doesn't get what he sees in her. The journey between the two of them is so good and so real, which is what I love about CD Reiss's

I thought this was a good one. I was glad it worked out in the end but man the two of them annoyed me sometimes with their inability to compromise on certain things. I think in the end they both had to realize that it's the only way to make things work in the long run.
The audio was good I really like the female narrator, Jo Raylan (aka Xe Sands) but the male narrator, didn't seem like a great fit for the male character. ...more
