Quick and dirty review -

Fantastic dark read with a unique twist. I don't want to spoil this book for you, so I'm going to be deliberately vague. I loved the author's use of duality in reference to the characters. The juxtaposition of one situation to the next really showcased how a situation could, by definition, be the same, yet so very, very different.

The book starts in a way that you think you know where it's going (and in a way you do), but what you end up with is something very unique. The ...more

What an awesome dark read - best book I've read in a while!!!

Baylee is kidnapped at the age of 17 by a man she trusted, was even attracted to - her next door neighbor who happened to be her dad's best friend. He's a sadistic monster, obsessed with her, and he's quite upfront about his plans for her...he's going to train her, sell her, and eventually retrieve her and keep her for his own.
