Effing love this series! Aleatha Romig is a master weaver of storytelling. Just when you think you have the plot figured out she throws another stitch in the pattern, making the story that much more intense, watch out she can write the perfect setup for murder.

Another EPIC installment of Aleatha Romig's captivating INFIDELITY series! So exhilarating and so so sexy! The mind fuck continues in one of the best romantic suspense series I've read in a long time. When this baby landed on my iPad, I had to pump myself up and get mentally prepared to dive back into this intense world that Romig has built. Turns out, it was just like coming back home. I'm so invested in these characters and in their story. Once I read the first, there was no turning back. With Another EPIC installment of Aleatha Romig's captivating INFIDELITY series! So exhilarating and so so sexy! The mind fuck continues in one of the best romantic suspense series I've read in a long time. When this baby landed on my iPad, I had to pump myself up and get mentally prepared to dive back into this intense world that Romig has built. Turns out, it was just like coming back home. I'm so invested in these characters and in their story. Once I read the first, there was no turning back. With so many OMG! moments, DECEPTION kept me on the edge of me seat the whole way through.

This ridiculously talented author has a way of sucking her readers in and never fully letting go. She takes the readers on a sensuous journey full of drama and suspense, where readers can escape reality one chapter at a time. It's undeniable, the pull this author has over my mind when I read her books. I'm pretty sure I've read everything by this woman, and never have I been disappointed. She is a top dog in this genre and always a go-to author for me.

In Deception, flashbacks are the key. We get a TON of them and if you pay attention there might be some clues that could help answer some questions OR bring up even more questions. I just LOVE this series so much, because after reading one installment, your mind goes haywire trying to think up what will happen next. It's a beautiful and complex puzzle that is always trying to complete itself in the back of your mind. Who is the enemy? What is the connection? There is just so many great questions you can ask yourself with these great reads. Now, knowing that DECEPTION is book 3 of 5, don't expect to find answers to all of your lingering questions. Embrace the read, and be surrounded by the sexy and edgy tone of the book. It will take you to a place you will never want to leave.

Be prepared to get carried away in this sexy suspenseful drama! I can't get enough of Nox and Charli, and I can't wait to see where the author takes us in the next installment. Have I been Aleatha'd? HELL YEAH I HAVE! And I'm LOVING every second of it!

"SECRETS WEREN’T SECRETS unless they were hidden away."

AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaah! *runs, hides* I don't think my heart or my anxiety can take 2 more books. Yes, yes it will because we are more than halfway done with the series. Things are bound to wind down. People need to be saved. People need to be redeemed. If anything from what we learned of Demetri/Montague world in the first 2 books things may not be so clear cut. Just mind the 'Caution' tape all around as you dive in...

"SECRETS WEREN’T SECRETS unless they were hidden away."

Aleatha continues with the story of Nox and Charli as they fall more in love while their world swirls around them. Like hungry sharks in the water looking for a perfect angle to bite away at the scrumptious flesh. Hence why the anxiety level while reading this DECEPTION was set to HIGH level.

Through multiple POV and multiple time line POV chapters we learned a great deal of the past. The only thing I'm willing to say is that I am for sure convinced that there are always 3 sides of the story - his, hers, and Aleatha's. That's right in this book we see all the characters in their duplicitous natures. Not everything is a black or white situation, there are so many shades of grey. To go even farther I think if the parents and the children had better relationships, parents' mistakes would have been FANTASTIC cautionary tales of how not to start on the wrong path with letting one wrong decision slide.

"... we fit perfectly together with no room for shadows."

Hell breaking loose (and yes it does) aside there is a whole lot of Nox and Charli's love story. It warmed my heart to see them finally coming to terms with their relationship hangups. Taking baby steps they make HUGE strides in solidifying their relationship, which is good considering all that the series is gearing up to be. Nox and Charlie burn the pages with their scorching chemistry. Being thrown to paranoia, to occasional frustration at the characters, to panty melting sex (I mean hello that Phone Sex... HOTTEST thing I have read!) I have enjoyed every morsel of this book.

"And then the dam I’d attempted to construct within myself burst. My self-control dissolved into her chorus of moans and sounds of ecstasy. No longer did I seek only to please; I was starving for the delicacy before me. Like a man deprived of nutrients, I needed more."

One by little things fall into place setting up something that us readers can not predict... hell the characters themselves can't either... we both bow down to our omnipotent powerhouse Aleatha who is leading us somewhere. So just stock up on Tums, wine, and just you know 'bear down' for the next 2 books.

But for now I'm just going to go into my corner to prepare and wait until Entrapment releases... I mean that title is not OMINIOUS at all!

well, i lost my touch with this one and hoping that AR will get me on edge with the next book the way she did with her previous books.
there were so many scenarios going through this book that made it dragged way to long, I think AR should have gone for the spin off with Laide's story, then we'll have the trilogy of Nox and Alex, and maybe two separate books of what had happened thirty years ago.

anyway, for me the wtf moment was, when Alex walked right into the devil's pit and Deloris and Clayto ...more

Aleatha Romig never disappoints. Once again she brings us on another page turning journey between Nox and Charli. You never know what to expect when you read any of Aleatha Romig's books. Can't wait for the next installment in the Infidelity Series. Love this series... ...more
