Another beautiful, BDSM love story from Joey W. Hill. It never ceases to amaze me the breadth of Hill's writing and story-telling. She creates characters for whom you feel so much - pain/pleasure, joy/sorrow, love/anger, fun/serious. Each book I've read from this author presents such vast dichotomies between contrasting feelings to bring you the fullest reading experience. Each book I've read from this author presents such vast dichotomies between contrasting feelings to bring you the fullest reading experience. Hill's gift for conveying complex emotions so simplistically is one I treasure. Each of her couples sheds new light on a culture I find fascinating. Each character compounding on the beauty of having this kind of relationship and what it can bring to fulfill your life.

In Worth the Wait this author showcases the culture of BDSM with a Dom/sub relationship where the Dom, Desmond, utilizes rope play. His sub, Julie, is exploring the BDSM world through producing erotic community theater to educate people on BDSM, the safety, the beauty, the vast sexual nature and kinks of it. So, as the author entertains you she educates you in the subtlest of ways proving why having an open mind and heart are pivotal in this kind of relationship and even broader in this kind of community.

Joey Hill provides stories to enlighten us and show the profound depths of the beauty in trust. We all strive for a soul changing partner and in the BDSM world, it's my understanding, that trust is the building block. The gorgeousness of that simple gift these characters give to each other while exposing their raw vulnerabilities going beyond a sexual relationship and into a meaningful emotional one as well, gives hopes to Hill's readers. Even in the hardest, most emotionally taxing moments - the brutality of those feelings hitting you still conjure so much love and even more acceptance in both the characters and readers. It's those qualities with the broad spectrum of feelings she evokes that make her writing so special and her stories so enthralling.

Des and Julie have a beautiful love story. It's told from Hill's signature third person POV. There's a lot of detail and pivotal moments in the book that I couldn't ever spoil. If you're a reader who's in BDSM, D/s relationships, excellent writing, and complex emotions or are already Joey W. Hill fans you don't want to miss Worth the Wait.

Another fab story by Joey!! I love Des. He's so sweet and dominating all at the same time, I love how Joey can make you feel the emotions with the BDSM lifestyle. Desmond is a roofer by trade and also an expert rigger and Dom. Julie is in Matthews to produce an erotic play for her friend's theater.
