The heavily anticipated conclusion to Beck and Sela's story is here!!! This sizzling, suspenseful, and powerful romantic suspense had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough...I couldn't catch my breath quick enough...my heart wanted to beat right out of my chest. I freaking LOVED every second of it! The Sugar Bowl series is an absolute favorite of mine!

3.5 Finale Stars

I wanted to strangle Sela (pun intended) for going out there. Who does that when you know the person is a sociopath? I guess it needed to be done in order to propel the story forward. But UGH!... I was so frustrated with her, and Beck, in this book.

I loved Dennis and Caroline. I knew she was going to learn the truth, but wish her brother had told her. No one should find out how she did.

I did identify with Caroline and Beck when it came to their parents. I had one parent who neve 3.5 Finale Stars

I did identify with Caroline and Beck when it came to their parents. I had one parent who never seemed to be interested and when he passed, people were upset with me for not having the same emotions they did. I get feeling badly for the family or just because it was someone you knew, but you can't force an emotion like the loss of a parent when they weren't really there to begin with.

It was crazy how the legal system railroad Sela and Beck and made things look the way they wanted them too. This with simple explanations were twisted to make them look bad. This is why I never make it on jury duty. I'm too skeptical. I've also had a police officer say I was speeding when I wasn't and the judge believed him when I fought the ticket. No radar showing I was speeding. Just a motorcycle cop trying to get his quota. I was also in a car where a roadblock was set up because the police thought the cars some college friends and I were in (all from different states... COLLEGE!) were a ring of car thieves so we spent a couple hours on our knees in the middle of the road while they searched us and our cars, only to find NOTHING because again...WE WERE COLLEGE STUDENTS! And there was no report made to prove they had stopped us. I never make jury duty.... :-)

This was a good ending, though I wanted more, which I always do. So why only give it 3.5 stars. Well that's because it felt like it dragged in the whole, "I make the decisions" thing from Beck. Along with the fact that I think he took too long to call Dennis, who I knew could probably help, and it was just dumb to dispose of everything. Put it in a safety deposit box or even in Sela's apartment, which no one seemed to remember was still unused but being paid for since her lease wasn't up. I just saw so many scenarios that would have gotten them out of the predicament they were in because Beck made some crazy choices.

But I did enjoy the audiobook readers as well as the story as a whole. ...more

Wow!!!!

That's the perfect ending for such a powerful series. My heart skip many, many times with each page. This is such a hard review to write, because I don't want to give anything away. Beck and Sela's characters grew so much from the first page until that amazing ending. As usual, with that flawless, elegant prose only Ms. Bennett delivers, we had an amazing series. ...more

I could not put this book down. I loved every minute of it. This was a crazy, wild ride. At 75% I could not see how it was all going to end. I was consumed. Consumed by this book.

Sela and Beck love each other. Love each other completely. Deeply. They do not know where one ends and the other begins. But at the end of Sugar Rush, their world was turned upside down. Now they stand to lose everything. Secrets begin to unravel. Truths can no longer be hidden.

My comments apply to all three parts of the trilogy.
I loved loved LOVED the first two books of this series. Sawyer Bennett created such a strong yet vulnerable heroine who goes on this journey of revenge and self-discovery. She and the hero make a fabulous couple and I was rooting for them every step of the way. And then we have the third instalment and our whip-smart heroine suddenly turns TSTL and I was seriously wondering how the author was going to pull this off because prison is looming on ...more

Whew! Sela and Beck took me on quite the harrowing journey. This was not a relaxing read but I so enjoyed it. Sela has dealt with a lot of crap in her life and yet she’s a strong, resilient woman. Beck and Sela’s relationship is pushed to the limits in this book. I couldn’t listen fast enough because I wanted, no needed, to find out how things would end up. I highly recommend this series and I very much enjoyed this conclusion to the series.

Ok, I didn't like this one as much as the other two. I think the whole legal mumbo jumbo got in the way of the story. I just wanted Sela and Beck not this other stuff. Once that was all settled I loved the ending and the extended epilogue. I'm glad everything worked out so well. That bastard JT was a real piece of work but I'm glad to know that his eval didn't destroy Sela, Beck and their family. ...more

This was my least favorite of the three. The decisions made by the main characters were ridiculous and kind of ruined the story for me. :(

I do love Sela & Beck though. And I want to know more about Dennis! Crossing my fingers that we see more of him in a future book
