I am attempting to be fair in this review. This book came so highly recommended, maybe the pedestal I placed it upon was too high.

PROS: It's easy reading; doesn't require deep thoughts or anything above minimal intellect to understand. (I said I would try to be fair)

CONS:
Plot: Teenage mafia prince and all around bad boy/stud muffin meets slave girl who has mafia roots of her own when his father "buys" her. Star-crossed lovers, yada yada yada, discovers she is grand-daughter of mafia boss/Godfath ...more

I was a little hesitant on reading this fanfic....but I was soooooo wrong...it was amazingly written!!!....I was hooked from the first page...this love story made my heart burst!!...I also enjoyed the whole "Mafia" aspect..it made the story suspenseful....Haven & Carmine will be one of my favorite couples....for Sempre!!

I think that regardless of what I write here, no words will be able to fully describe how fucking amazing Sempre actually is!! I don’t think a novel has ever made me so emotional! Sempre is without a doubt the best YA contemporary book I have ever read.

I heart Sempre so much, I've loved it since the beginning when it was a FF and ....that's why I gave 4 stars, because I heart it so much and the book broke my heart all over again..I think I'd always love the fanfic more thanks to the ending in Emancipation Proclamation :) but I'll always gonna have a soft spot for the book. ...more
