Southern Gothic Novel written in 1960 by Harper Lee won the Pullitzer Prize. It exposes racial injustice and the death of innocence. Atticus is the father and a lawyer of the children. The mockingbird only sings its heart out to us, to kill a mockingbird is a sin. To kill a mockingbird is to kill what is innocent.
