Charlie's evolution into becoming an adult was amazing. Whiney, selfish, and shortsighted to an adult who admits his mistakes and takes responsibility for his own life. Xan's changes were notable as well. I liked that he realizes and acts on his new and growing feelings for Charlie. The whole gang is there from the previous books to help them along as they navigate the major changes in their lives.
