Standard shifter fare with a mild BDSM component. At parts funny, at parts dramatic, Mr. Alpha male is dom in the bedroom but the little sub is all control in reality. He's a smart ass even during sex.Not that different from any other shifter book, they just talk about and practice mild spanking and restraints in one or two scenes. In many ways it felt like fake D/s.

Ummm no, just no. This has all the elements to be a book I should love, even at how short it is. Instead it doesn't work at all.

Anthony lost his lover 3 years before and he hasn't been able to put it behind him. Finally his best friend Steve has decided it's time and dragged him out to a club for shifters. Silver owns the club they've come to and one whiff of Anthony is all he needs. This is his mate and he will claim him. Nothing and no one will stand in his way.

I read the new version. It was good but kind of unsatisfying. There's a good plot in this book and I like the characters. But I feel that this book would have been better served if it were twice the size, with the same plot.

There are scenes that just beg for more detail. There's more potential in this book than the author uses. Which is a shame, because the plot and characters really are quite interesting. ...more

This had the basic material for about three longer stories. The characters were interesting and we started to get some really original backstory going, and it was like the power went off and everything went dark before it really got going.
