There's a lot of back and forth in this one but it's so worth it. Drew has spent his life in the closet and conforming to whatever expectations others have of him. Watching him make decisions and take steps to become his own man for a chance with Mason was great. Mason's ex has done a real number on him. I could understand his reactions to some of the things Drew says and does but it really showed his age. At only twenty/twenty-one he reacts without explanation and way over the top. I liked that

While not as involved as Book #1, this was still a fun read and interesting to see some of the previous events through a different character's eyes and perspective. I really hope there is going to be further tales of Rock Bay, I'm already interested to know what is going to happen with the mystery cousin.

I'm not really sure what it is about this series that just seems to leave me going, meh. I like the characters well enough, but I just never seem to connect with them as strongly as I'd like. Drew and Mason were cute together, but Drew still made a lot of stupid decisions in his fear about coming out.
