Excellent fantasy, I put off starting this because I knew once I picked it up I wouldn't be able to put it down, and that was indeed the case. There were a few lingering questions for me about Erich's lineage (I couldn't figure out if he was adopted into the line or a genuine descendant) but the story was compelling enough I could put that aside.
