I really enjoyed this story once I was able to let go of my bias against their class privilege. I read lots of romance novels full of class privilege and it doesn't make this story worse than those.
Melinda is starting her life over. Her husband cheated and she's gotten a divorce. Her teen son is cool with the divorce and his mom coming out. So Melinda doesn't have anything stopping her from focusing on herself and her needs/wants.
