'Sleep Tight' is what you WON'T be able to do if you start reading Rachel Abbott's excellent new thriller. From the frightening menace of the opening to the last touching scene you will be taken on a scintillating journey with more twists and turns than a pit of snakes.
Tom Douglas, the lovable detective from Rachel's two previous books, is on hand to guide you through the intricate maze of the plot (and has a blossoming love interest of his own developing too), but perhaps by the end it will onl ...more

What can I say about this book? I read the previous two by Abbott and really enjoyed them, giving them both 5 stars. If I could give this book more stars I would. Olivia is a mother and a trapped woman. When the love of her life and father of her daughter leaves, she seeks comfort with a knight in shining armour, having more children in the process, lovely angelic cherubs. Sounds great yes, the ultimate tale of loss and love.

This is the third in the Tom Douglas series, and another enjoyable read, he has a new partner and I enjoyed seeing how the relationship developed. It was also nice to have some of the characters from the previous books.
I also enjoyed the reference to the Channel Isles. The ending was cleverly written

Another great book by Rachel Abbott; compteletely compelling and slightly chilling. The story opens with Olivia Broookes reporting her husband and children missing. When the police are called out we discover this isn't the first time she has had to file a missing person report. Very soon we flip to the modern day where it is Olivia and her children who are reported missing by her husband. DCI Tom Douglas and his team are called in to work out what has happened to them.

Sleep Tight was my first encounter with Rachel Abbott's work...and boy did it pull me in! I nonchalantly downloaded a sample on my Kindle in bed one evening, and I found myself staying up until 4 AM to finish it! Spellbinding!

Her best yet. Not as disturbing as Only the Innocent, but somehow more set in the real world. The twists and turns continued right to the end, leaving my head spinning! Though now I need to know what happened to Tom's brother ...
