What Members Thought

Wonderful story encompassing racial issues; class snobbery; family dynamics; and one woman's quest to provide a stable environment for her daughter. Really enjoyed Kat and Tyson's journey toward overcoming fears, taking chances, and ultimately, learning to trust. The ONLY reason it took me so long to finish this was family issues and loss of reading time. Otherwise, I'd have finished this a LOT sooner!

This was a pleasant non-emotional read. There are definitely points that people are looking for these days. Single parent. Biracial couple. Parental Doubt. All of which were beautifully written in this book. Wasn't my favorite by this author, at all. But she brought together things that I tend to forget about and wrote about them in a beautiful, very contemporary, way. Also, not nearly as emotional read as most of Lydia Michaels other books.
