Somewhere between short story and full novel... this story does a great job of isolating what might be going through the mind of a captive and the heartbreaking reality that they are not anyone's people anymore.

I really liked the story and plot, especially the time setting. But the lack of dialogue - instead just being told what each character said bothered me, more than I expected.
