If I were to split this book in half and rate it, the beginning would have two stars. The second half would have 5 stars. So the actual rating would be 3.5 stars.
The beginning is a lot of world building. It was just way too slow paced for me. Everyone raved over this book so I braved through it and continued. This book was just so amazing! This is definitely one of the most original storylines I have ever read. And Laini Taylor is one of the best writers I've ever come across. I'm just so struck by the originality of this, with the teeth and the wishes, and even the fact that the story takes place in Prague. I mean, the main character has freakin' blue hair! I ABSOULTELY LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!! The main character is badass, the guy is hot, and the story is intense. Can't wait to get my hands on the rest of this series.

OMG! What an emotional (and confusing) rolller-coaster of a book! It took me forever to get into it but after I got into it I couldn't put it down!
