A long time ago I learned that just because a book is fast paced and I finish it even a few hours it doesn't necessarily mean it deserves 5 stars. Such was the case of Hex Hall. Don't get me wrong, the book was good, I enjoyed Rachel Hawkins writing style but the story was just lacking some humph.

i liked the heroine , but there was something missing or actually it had more teenage drama than i could handle.it was a little bit like a harry potter copycat :( it's good to pass the time but not great . It didn't really have an end , it leaves you to a point where you have to read the second to find out about the luck of some characters... I might give a chance to the second one.

more 2.5 stars.
I really really really, wanted to like this book. I heard so many good things about it. And to be fair I did enjoy it somehow, but for some reason, just couldn't get into it. There were a lot of things that seemed half-explained, and I think it's good to leave things hanging for the next book, I just didn't really believe how the author approached all of the climatic events.

I really liked this book. I love Sophie's sarcasm, it reminds me of Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy series. I thought the whole book was like Vampire Academy meets Harry Potter. Obviously, it's not exactly like either of those but it has elements from both those series that really made this book enjoyable. This is a great book to pick up if you are interested in fantasy but not high fantasy. It was a pretty quick read for me, no dull moments as all. I will definitely be reading the rest o

Wow, I really liked this one!! I’d give it 4.5. Although some elements reminded me a lot of other books I’ve read, it was really funny, suspenseful, and had some twists and turns I didn’t expect. I LOVE the main character, Sophie (so funny!), also Archer and Jenna. Some of the other characters (e.g. Cal and the other Hex Hall students) could have been fleshed out more, but maybe we’ll get more in future books. I can’t wait to find out what happens to Sophie next!!

Typical witches fairies werewolves vampires o my book! I didn't LOVE it but it was a fun read with a cool paranormal idea to it! All I kept thinking is it's like the community college compared to Hogwarts University! Huge cliffhanger at the end will probably drive me to the sequel!
