Awesome awesome Cinderella retelling, so awesome I think it definitely outshines it!
I'm so happy I read this book, all the characters had so much depth and those of you who have been following my updates about this book know that I reallllllly like Kai. really like him.
The parallels were so cute and nostalgic yet brand new that made me curse myself for not thinking of the premise myself, yeah we all think that.
But lets be honest Marissa Meyer does a fantastic job in writing this book and weaving

Cinder is a fairy-tale re-telling that is a cross-over of (the traditional fairy-tale) Cinderella, Star Wars and Astro Boy. Yes! It did remind me a bit of all three and, needless to say; I LOVED IT! .

I had chosen the audiobbok which was brilliantly narrated. The way Rebecca Soler (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly?)portrayed the characters voices added depth (and made it fun to listen to). I imagined it play out(in anime-mode)and it made it even better.

At first I was a bit hesitant because

This book was fantastic in both plot, writing and characters. I felt real emotions for all the things Cinder was going through and she was easy to sympathise with.

I'm just hoping that Scarlet continues the story of Cinder and Emperor Kai, since another plot line will be introduced.

I refuse to be deprived of my Cinder and Kai fix for a whole book!

This was nearly a perfect book for me. It hit pretty much every benchmark I look for in stories. Scifi, different humanoid races, a not so overcooked romance, action, an evil ruler, and characters you can't help but feel strongly about.

The ending was a bit predictable, but it was handled so well that I forgive that one small gripe.

Read this book. It's fantastic.

Oh my goodness gracious. That was nothing less than a MASTERPIECE. Alright, it wasn't particularly intellectual and it definitely didn't delve into the meaning of life or the human consciousness, but it was probably one of the best retellings I've come across, period.

I genuinely was unable to put it down. For one, I absolutely LOVED Cinder. In general, I don't like MCs. They're usually whiney and good at everything, but Cinder was flawed and humble and so relatable. Everything bad that happened

I have to admit, I had my doubts about this book at first. But then my sister brought it home from the library, and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This book is amazing. I loved every bit of it. The plot was interesting and the setting of the dystopia world. I also loved the characters: Peony, Iko, Cinder, and Kai. Cinder was an amazing main character and protagonist. She was very brave and determined to protect the people she loves and she tried to stop Prince Kai from marrying ...more

Right now, I'll only say that I absolutely loved this book, and not just cause I love Cinderella. I loved the characters, the world and the incredibly creative story line. And I just want to say that I LOVE IKO!

This is probably my favourite conversation in this book, I could not stop laughing:

CINDER: Do you think it could have virus?

IKO: Maybe her programming was overwhelmed by Prince Kai's uncanny hotness.

CINDER: Can we please not talk about the prince?

IKO: I don't think that will be possible. Y

I can't believe it took me this long to actually get around to reading this book but I'm so glad I did. It was fun and different and exciting and I really enjoyed it. I loved the fairy tale re-telling aspect even though it made some things kind of predictable.

I will no doubt be continuing this series.

An amazing retelling of Cinderella with a twist!!

Gah, how could it end like that? Need the next book now!

People who read my reviews know how picky I am with books. And most of the time I find books with a lot of hype to be rather mediocre. Cinder has been on my TBR list since it came out with glowing reviews. But to be honest, I found the plot rather off putting. A modern retelling of Cinderella where the heroine is a cyborg? I thought that was a formula for disaster. Thoughts of Bicentennial Man and Robocop came to mind.

I couldn't have been m

I suspected that twist, but this is good anyway. Not my favorite, but definitely compelling enough I want to read Scarlet now!

Must find out what happens with Cinder and Kai!!
