Nate and Tessa discuss Jessamine while she isn't around.
"You know," said Nate, "I'm feeling rather parched—I think I'd like some tea. If we could ring for a servant?"
"Oh, dear, you must be parched. I'm afraid I've been a most negligent hostess." Jessamine rose, all distress. "There are no bells in the library, but I'll get Sophie and have her ask Agnes to make up a tray for you."
She hurried from the room, smoothing her skirts down as she went. Nate watched her go with an appreciative glance befo ...more

Love Jem. Hate Will. So, obviously, I ship Tessa with Jem.
I love TMI so I didn't hesitate to read this. And Cassie didn't disappoint at all. Great characters, great plot, great everything!

I purchased this book back in September 2010, right after it was released, and I only recently got around to reading it. It was worth the wait. This is a really great story with well-conceived characters. Compared to City of Bones, which I recently read before this book, Clockwork Angel is far superior in every way, especially the technical writing. Gone are the clunky, lazily placed adverbs, which were making my eyes roll every two minutes during City of Bones.

I had forgotten a lot of what had happened in this series so I'm excited to get to read it again. It was very exciting, not as thrilling as I felt the first read through was, but I really enjoyed it all of the same and I'm looking forward to continuing to read the series and even the Mortal Instruments again.

5/5
To think that the Mortal Instruments was an amazing series...but no, The Infernal Devices can maybe, or perhaps, be even better (as if that was possible).
Firstly, to get over my fangirl moment - Ahhhhh Will, Will, Will...JEM <3 - I think that's enough to show how much I loved reading about those two handsome fictional boys. Second, I really can't believe how addictive this book got, reading the first few pages and immediately I got hooked into knowing what will happen to Tessa, what she thin ...more

I loved this book as much, if not more than the Mortal Instruments series! Awesome characters, great action/suspense, good romance, lots of surprises and mysteries--many that still need solving. My only slight issue was a couple of confusing things at the beginning (e.g. why would they all automatically know to call her ‘Tessa’ instead of ‘Theresa’ without her specifying it?). The book was quite reminiscent of Mortal Instruments, but a lot seemed fresh and new, too, and the setting was great! I

This is the book that started it all. I read this as an assignment for work and realized after that it is the prequal to the Mortal Instruments series. Of course I had to read the series and I love them ALL!! A must read for any Mortal Instruments fan.... and anyone else who just wants an epic read.

I was hook right away. Having already read the immortal series, I saw some ties to the other books. I wish that they would have said what Will needed Magnus's help with. Cant wait till next Xmas

It was Good, unfortunately not great, I'll be expecting more from Clockwork Prince, now that the introduction of the first book is out of the way.
