The Grimm Brothers are what helped to put fairy tales on the map. Previous to their reign, tales of the sort were reserved for lessons to children, bedtime stories, or just for fun. Without the brothers we may never have gotten to hear of or speak of or, in many cases, watch the fairy tales come to life in our media-oriented world. The brothers collected tales and weaved their own. So much so that they need hundreds of pages to make the "Complete" works actually complete.
