This book was just something else. The writing is so beautiful and dynamic, it just feels alive, like you can actually feel the words you're reading. I liked Shatter Me but I didn't love it and it was reading Destroy Me that really changed everything for me about this series and gave me a renewed interest in it. I felt like you really couldn't get the full impact of this book without reading Destroy Me first because it fills in a lot of the missing bits and gives a new meaning to a lot of the ev This book was just something else. The writing is so beautiful and dynamic, it just feels alive, like you can actually feel the words you're reading. I liked Shatter Me but I didn't love it and it was reading Destroy Me that really changed everything for me about this series and gave me a renewed interest in it. I felt like you really couldn't get the full impact of this book without reading Destroy Me first because it fills in a lot of the missing bits and gives a new meaning to a lot of the events in the story.

Juliette was a character that just had an infinite amount of layers to her and thankfully, she grew quite a bit throughout this book. There was a ton of character development that she went through and for a while, like the first 40% of the book, I was really frustrated with her and justifiably so because she was prone to throwing herself the lengthiest pity parties, acting like she was the only one to ever have it hard in life but she grew out of it and found her independence, learning that she didn't have to play the damsel in distress role because she was stronger than she realized.

Warner. What can I possibly say about Warner except that he was made of epic in this book. I mean, he was the true leading man of this story. I loved everything about him, I loved his candor, his honesty, and the sophisticated manner in which he carried himself. What I loved most about him was that he put it all out there for Juliette to see, his heart, his flaws, his insecurities, just his whole self, hiding nothing from her and he just contributed to some of the loveliest and most heartfelt moments in the entire book. What was very interesting was that those same emotions and thoughts Warner showed in Destroy Me were able to be conveyed just as clearly in this book through Juliette's POV. Warner truly is not a villain, that role would go to his father, Anderson. Warner is the epitome of the antihero, he could be cold and callous but then he could be so open and show such vulnerability. Once again Warner moved me to tears with his beautiful words so full of passion and longing.

Juliette and Warner are the definition of OTP because they really are a one true pairing. They are everything beautiful, passionate, and real. They are people who know each other better than anyone. They are not perfect by any means but they are just right. It won't be easy for them to make it because the ball is firmly in Juliette's court. It's all on her, if she wants this truly epic love affair with Warner or if she wants to go back to what is safe, predictable, and familiar. Do I trust her to make the right decision? I don't know but I trust her more now than I did before, gone was the scared mouse of a girl, Juliette's a fighter now and I think her ultimate decision will reflect the girl she is now instead of the girl she was before.

Overall, this book was fantastic. There was so much action but that never over took the story, it was still just as character driven as its predecessor. Not only do you get to know Juliette and Warner better, but you get to know Kenji better as well. You really get an open look into his character and you see that he's more than the comic relief but he was a brutally honest, straight shooter and was often the friend Juliette needed to get her on the right track as far as breaking out of those old habits. Wow!! Awesome book! Better than the first. The beginning was a little slow, but it just got better and better--with some scary action/suspense, BIG surprises, and hot, steamy romance. I am a HUGE Warner fan (sorry Adam!) and am keeping my fingers crossed that Juliette wakes up and smells the coffee where he’s concerned. They really are perfect for each other in every way. And, there’s such a contrast between Warner and Adam in this book ((view spoiler) Wow!! Awesome book! Better than the first. I also loved the growth of Juliette throughout this book and her realizations and strides towards self-improvement. She seems to finally be waking up, coming out of that scared shell, and realizing what she can accomplish. This, oddly, also highlights more differences between the boys since (view spoiler). I also loved the tense, scary moments, particularly with Anderson, and I enjoyed getting to know the characters more, particularly Kenji (his behavior and assertions are often a bit much, but he’s right a lot of the time, can be very funny, and is a great friend to Juliette). I liked the new characters, too, and getting more information on them. And, the way this book ended with so many unknowns, I’m dying for the next book--CANNOT WAIT!!

I’m sad because I have finished the book I have longed for for the past year, in just under four hours. Why? Why do I have to read so fast, why can’t I just take it chapter by chapter, and enjoy it slowly? It’s a curse, I’ll tell you that.

I LOVED this book. Tahereh Mafi’s writing is so uniquely addicting, the prose is just impossible to put down. It was that beautiful, hypnotic speech that drew me in in the first place, and now it just adds to the sparkling romance.

I LOVED this book. Tahereh Mafi’s writing is so uniquely addicting, the prose is just impossible to put down. It was that beautiful, hypnotic speech that drew me in in the first place, and now it just adds to the sparkling romance.

As hard as it was to read, Juliet had some major crap to deal with in this book. All the weeks of Warner’s games, and old childhood traumas came rushing back, and she’s starting to retract within herself. Aside from that, Adam has his own angst, and we barely see him throughout the book. Oh, Adam, I’ve missed you. So much.

I’m just going to say, I have not fallen under Warner’s spell as so many others have whilst reading this latest installment. I guess I understand his motives, we saw a tender side of him we have never seen before, but does that mean I want Juliette to forgive his freaky mind games and fall hopelessly in love with him? No. No. No. No.

Adam is better. And I will tell you why. They were friends from childhood, they have a passionate, and swoon-worthy relationship that Juliette and Warner simply don’t have. In my opinion. I guess I really didn’t see any type of chemistry between J and W, he just kept spouting erotic poetry, and she was just trying not to faint.

Adam swears. I don’t know why, but I love that. He is sarcastic one moment, but not overly so, and wonderfully sexy and sweet the next. I love him. I am 100% Team Adam. I don’t hate Warner anymore. I don’t love him, but I don’t hate him. He is so desperate for Juliette, it’s really kind of disturbing.

I was so glad by the end of this book, that she and Adam took a slight ‘break’, and she was able to find her own independence. I was becoming increasingly worried after the first book, that she was simply using him as a tool to get all of her emotions out, but that is not the case. They are in love, and they have had many obstacles, and Juliette was finally able to find some strength for herself.

The writing was gorgeous, the boys were sexy, the feelings were a wonderful roller-coaster. I loved every bit of this book, and you should too. I’m just going to sit in a puddle of my own tears, waiting desperately for the third one. I am definitely a life-long Tahereh Mafi fan.

Throughout the book we are taken through Juliette’s emotional roller coaster. Her highs and lows as she learns more about the extent of her powers and how she has now become an integral part of the resistance. Our loyalties are put into doubt as we see a side or Warner that we had never seen before, a side that he only shows when he’s around Juliette. He is truly in love with her and will do anything to be with her, but he’s also the same evil guy we read about in Shatter Me who has done unspeakable things. I found myself thinking that maybe Warner was just a victim of his circumstances and that with the right motivation, maybe Juliette’s love, he could change. On the flip side, I was brought back to Adam and what a wonderful guy he has been the whole time and I’m torn all over again.

A lot is revealed in this book about the different abilities and weaknesses the characters have. We find out why Adam all of a sudden is hurt by Juliette’s touch, we find out why it is that Warner is able to touch her, and we find out what exactly is Kenji’s power. We also find out that what we know so far about Juliette’s powers is just barely touching the tip of iceberg and that there’s a lot of work to be done on her part to explore these abilities, that is if Juliette can stop feeling sorry for herself and works up the courage. Like in Shatter Me, there’s a lot of Juliette self-pity in this book. I’m hoping that by book #3, Juliette has found her worth and her voice.

As always, Tahereh Mafi’s writing is deliciously poetic. She never fails to deliver a story that will tug at your heartstrings and make you fall deeply for not just the main characters, but all the supporting characters as well. There was a lot of buzz online regarding chapter 62 in the book, which I can confirm contains a very passionate love scene while still keeping it YA acceptable. This book is a very worthy sequel and set up for the conclusion of the trilogy. As with anything that Tahereh writes, this a must-read.

Okay.. so from where do I start? What I'm about to confess is gonna sound weird, crazy and WTF? but I'll write everything I went through while reading this book because this book deserves it. So after obsessing about Shatter Me( I mean Warner) for a whole year and 2 months I literally cried of happiness when Unravel Me came out and I was finally able to read it. I started reading it and literally consumed it within a few hours! I was so eager to read it that I had to force myself SPOILER ALERT :)

I started reading it and literally consumed it within a few hours! I was so eager to read it that I had to force myself to read slower so it wouldn't end too soon. I don't think I have ever been so scared and excited in my whole life while reading a book. Like, I love Warner to death and I CRAVE Warnette but I still have a soft spot for Adam because of the way he was introduced in the first book and how important he became to Juliette. So reading this book was absolute TORTURE to me. I wanted one thing but felt another thing, my own feelings were so mixed and confused so I could really understand and relate to Juliette through the whole book, but my heart was already lost to Warner.

This book made my heart explode in both painful and beautiful ways. I fell in love with Warner all over again and kept reading thinking she has to pick Warner or else I'll burn this books up. So when I came to chapter 58 and Juliette still refused to admit to herself that Warner is the ONE for her, I couldn't stand it. I threw my book away and forced myself to not think or read about it or to read anything related till UM anywhere (sound crazy right?) But the things was that I had waited for so long for this book to come out, for Juliette to finally realize who she belongs to so at the first hint of Juliette pushing Warner away I thought this is it, she is gonna leave him. I didn't have many pages left but I didn't dare finish it, because I knew that if things didn't end the way I want it I was going to lose it, because after reading Destroy me we saw side of Warner that we never had seen before and my heart literally ached and cried for him through both DM, and I fell in love with him all over again in UM. I am a person that believe in second chances and humanity, so of course I am team Warner the whole way... like who could you not be? Their chemistry is enough to drive you crazy.. so scared little me, panicked at the first sign of Juliette letting Warner go.

I thought I know how the book was going to end, but boy, I was so so horribly wrong. (haha) 7 months later, today, I decided to finish it, to read those last pages just too see what would happen. I read it and spent 10 minuter laughing my ass off. What the hell was I thinking? Letting a book unfinished like that? Especially I book I've been so crazy and excited over. I'm happy that I've read it and now I can't stop laughing of at my own stupidity. Of course Juliette is going to end up with Warner, they are after all made for each other!

Oh.. one last thing..
Aaron? I absolutely adore that name. It's so sexy.. and cute.Love the fact that we had to wait for so long just to know the name of our beloved District 45 man :)

Unravel Me. I've expected this book to be so revealing and it did. I always look forward to the second book of every trilogy. It is usually the best for me. And Unravel Me never failed me. :)

Juliette. She's still mopey and a sad little girl here. But her bravery on going through the war for the Omega Point was a big step for her life. She is so amazing in every new things she discovered in herself. I admire her strong and rare abilities and her softness in her heart as well.
