I had very mixed emotions/feeling about this book. I do love the writing voice of Katy Evans but I felt there were times I wasn't understanding the characters in this story - the plot and diction was bizarre at times and I really had to concentrate on what was happening. I've heard great things about Katy Evans books in the past, but I hadn't yet dove in and tried a book yet. Boy, have I been missing out! I absolutely LOVED Manwhore - I was captivated from the start and wanted to read whenever I could, constantly trying to sneak more pages.

This book screamed How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days to me with regard to Rachel's assignment, and once I heard that, I knew I would love this one. I loved the plot - especially the build up.

Shelves: audiobook

This book was just plain awful. I don't know how it became so popular when it is horribly unoriginal with poor writing. If I heard her say "he's teasing me" one more time, I was going to throw my phone across the room. Is there no other word that can replace teasing? This would have been a DNF for me, if it wasn't an audiobook and I was stuck in traffic. And to make matters worse, after sitting through this entire mess, there's a cliffhanger? Just awful. ...more
