This book was given to me for an honest review.
I never would have chosen this kind of book. I usually avoid kidnapping books and find the idea of a story about this unappealing.
This book is more in every direction.
The erro chemistry that is developed and the angst that happens between the characters is gripping and had me turning pages so fast I dint realize I was at the end until I was. The story has you rooting for both sides and isn't that strange.

From the synopsis of the book, you think it's some stalkerish read where the asshole will drive the chick crazy and do some sketchy shit....ya kinda. What you don't realize is that there is soooooo much more to this story that leaves you flipping the pages to find out the answers to what the hell is going on right along with Julianna Oakley. Julianna Oakley, Jules, comes home for the summer even though she would rather spend it with her fiance. Her dad, who hasn't had much to do with her since she hit puberty, plans to throw her one hell of a birthday for the big 2-1. But things head south quick when she realizes there are some bad people have other plans for her. She is taken against her will, but not without one hell of a fight, and wakes up someplace to sparkling green eyes and the smell of leather...mmmmm Travis. Now he is a sight for sore eyes. Literally. This delicious man handles her delicately trying to ebb her fears all the while laying down the law. She's not in Kansas anymore. Her life has changed for the worst since Nick, Travis' boss, has decided to take Jules and make her his own. He's been watching and waiting for years to get to this point and nothing is going to stop him from claiming her, especially Jules herself. She gets a short period of time to transition to her new lifestyle, a slave to Nick. But not just any slave; one that is expected to be happy, submissive, and ready to fuck at all times. How is that possible, you ask? With the help of a new experimental drug that Nick is running through his labs, Blyss. It's an aphrodisiac that keeps a women content and sexually wanting at all times. Keeping her submissive is easy when you hold the answer to all her prayers: sex. Jules doesn't stand a chance in hell since Nick has chosen Travis to train her. She can't help but be attracted to him. He oozes charisma and is very manipulative. He gets what he wants when he wants it. Jules has to acclimate herself to her new life, or she will become one of millions sold into human trafficking. If that happens, she may never find her way back home. Waiting it out in hopes that her billionaire daddy will find her, she begins to discover there is more behind the reason she was taken. She does the best she can to keep her wits about herself and not fall for Travis while trying not to push them so far that they make her disappear.

I loved Jules. She is spunky and doesn't put up with shit, but she has a breaking point like the rest of us. I cracked up during certain scenes reading the shit that would pour out of her mouth. She may be very intelligent, but the girl has no life smarts and has been sheltered, so she is very naive. Jake, I sure hope we get to see that studmuffin again. Travis...yummy yummy yummy Travis. That guy has met his match. He wasn't expecting Jules, and wasn't expecting her to start chipping away at his well built walls. The two of them together is just smoking hot! It's wrong on all kinds of levels, but you're just screaming for it to happen already. Nick....that fucking piece of shit. That's about all I can say about that disturbed motherfucker. I just wanted to punch him in his face. Cocky ass bastard.

I can't wait to read Blyssful Lies. JC Cliff has completely ensnared me and I have to know what happens next. I can't wait to learn the entire story behind why she was taken and to get deeper inside of Nick's fucked up head. I have a love hate relationship with villains. Cliff has hit my radar and will remain on it. The woman can write a hell of a story. If they are this good now, imagine how much better they will become once she master's her craft. I loved this book.this was so different than anything I've ever read before but I want more. I love Julianne and how she never gave up and continued to fight until the end. I hated nick s attitude. I love that Travis finally was able to feel with Julianne after he hadn't in a long time..I was intrigued and unable to put down and am anxiously waiting for the second book to come out.
