Elizabeth Bennett & Declan Blay

I know I said I was tired of reading books where the heroine is virginal while the man is a man-whore, but this took it all the way to the extreme of what I was looking for.

Elizabeth was SA'd when she was in high school and instead of the author writing her seeking counseling to get her power back, she used sex to get her power back. Who doesn’t love a book with a Pride and Prejudice twist. Although college age new adult books are not something I can relate to, this book really had me held captive. It’s a fine line to walk.... making a college age book appealing to older readers as they can sound either too mature or too immature. The MC’s are written with more depth than the average college book. This is the first time reading a book by Ilsa Madden-Mills and it certainly won’t be the last.

I haven't determined if this is a 4 or 4.5 star book for me. There were moments I loved, but I have to say it: Elizabeth Bennett. Again. Elizabeth.Bennett.... Puhlease parents: do not do that your kids. Promise me you won't. So sad.

Ummm, ok. On with my quasi-review. Sooo, she was kinda irritating. Declan was hot, but he couldn't carry the whole book.

All in all, it was a nice quick read that was somewhat reminiscent of Beautiful Disaster. ...more

I just wish that Declan and Elizabeth’s love story was a little longer. Great romance, though, with amazing chemistry between the two main characters. Along with a ridiculously funny twin brother and some loyal and supportive best friends, this book had me laughing and totally enjoying the first of this author’s British twins’ duet.

I’m so far behind on my book challenge that this is enough for now…

Oh, and the sexy times were HOT! And, that cover is gorgeous;)
