This was my first Belle Aurora read, and I loved the hero – Lev. He was just so sweet and caring. A man that “wasn’t good with words” but was so protective and loyal to the ones he loved. His family is close, and when he sees a woman taking something that doesn’t belong to her, he calls her out on it. He tells her that he is going to put her to work and also gives her a place to stay. This book started out like Lev and the gang were going to be super badass, and they were to a certain extinct. The thing is, once Mina came into the picture it was like a switch was flipped and the badassness just slowly trickled out.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the growth of the relationship between Mina and Lev, and am hoping to get a taste of what's to come for the others, but everything after Mina was in their lives seemed a little to good to be true. ...more
